1. What are your educational qualifications and training in plastic surgery?
Dr. Rodolfo Castillo is an esteemed and experienced surgeon certified in both plastic and aesthetic surgery, who performs facial and body contouring procedures on adults.
He studied medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of La Salle University and completed general surgery training at Mexico’s General Hospital, with a subspecialty in plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery. Since founding his own practice, he has earned a reputation for superior patient service, customized care, and medical success. He is certified by the Mexican Board of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery (CMCPER).
Dr. Castillo is a proud active member of several recognized medical associations, including:

2. Who are the medical associates or staff members who work with you during surgeries?
Dr. Carlo Pedroza is our Otolaryngologist who works as a team with Dr. Castillo when patients need one of the following procedures facelifts, eye lifts, rhinoplasty, chin and cheek implants and neck or chin liposuction.
He born in Mexico City, actually living in Tijuana. He studied General Medicine at “Universidad Autónoma de Baja California”.
He courses three years of Otolaryngology at the “Western National Medical Center Centro médico Nacional de Occidente del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS)” Hospital in Guadalajara, México.
He is certified by the Mexican Council of Otolaryngology and head and neck surgery.
He actually exerts private practice, he is part of the Otolaryngology unit staff at the “Clínica 20 del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social” Hospital and he is a teacher of Otolaryngology in the school of medicine at the Xochicalco University in Tijuana.

After that, she courses three years of Anesthesiology in Tijuana’s General Hospital and was resident of Intensive therapy and Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Federico Gómez and National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán in México City.
3. Am I a good candidate for this surgery or procedure?
Each patient is unique, has their own goals, questions, and concerns, but to achieve a positive life change everyone need to make an informed decisions about plastic surgery.
Perfect candidates for most surgeries are healthy and well-informed patients also they feel good about themselves but have one or two areas they would like to improve beyond what a healthy lifestyle can do.
It is important to have reasonable expectations, and know the risks of the procedure you're considering.
For any procedure, it is very important that our patients must have a body mass index of less than 30. This reduces the risks in OR and in recovery.
But at last, the best way to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for plastic surgery is to requesting a consultation with us and discuss your goals.
Before your surgery, you and and plastic surgeon, Dr. Castillo, will talk in depth about your health, your lifestyle (including exercise, drinking, and smoking), any conditions you have, and any medications or supplements you take. That discussion will help you know if surgery is a good option for you or if you. We can only promise an honest evaluation and recommendation.
5. What are the risks associated with this procedure?
To have plastic surgery is an extremely personal decision and you need to need aware of the benefits, risks and potential complications. Dr. Rodolfo Castillo and his staff will explain in detail the risks associated with surgery. You will be asked to sign consent forms to ensure that you fully understand the procedure you will undergo and any risks and potential complications.
Although all plastic procedures are considered safe, there are certain risks associated. Some of these risks may include infection, scarring, allergic reactions, hematoma or unsatisfactory results. Procedures performed in My Best Body Ever are always performed by Dr. Castillo with no serious complications, this risks are minimized choosing an experienced doctor and by following all postoperative instructions carefully, including cleansing and at-home treatment regimens, and avoid sun exposure. Your cooperation will influence the outcome of your surgery.

6. What steps should I take to prepare for this surgery?
Before undergoing surgery requiring sedation or general anesthesia, a full medical history including diagnostic tests is recommended. Part of this medical history requires that you provide candid answers to questions about your general state of health.
Before surgery, you must follow all of plastic surgeon's instructions. This may include cessation of smoking, cut back drinking and stop taking certain types of medications that may increase your risk of abnormal bleeding.
On the day of surgery, you may be asked to avoid eating or drinking anything within a defined time period prior to surgery. Your body normally keeps you from inhaling food you spit up, but anesthesia can stop these reflexes from working. This can cause choking and other complications after surgery. So make sure you follow doctor's instructions about when to stop eating or drinking.

The office of My Best Body Ever Surgeon is located in the northern of Mexico. This is where Dr. Rodolfo Castillo and her patient coordinators are based. 8. What techniques will you use with my procedure?
Plastic surgery can involve a number of different techniques to move and manipulate body tissue. At your consultation, Dr. Rodolfo Castillo will explains in detail what will happen before, during and after surgery. This will include techniques used at your plastic surgery.
The exact technique used by Dr. Castillo during a plastic procedures depends on a number of factors, including a patient’s anatomy and personal goals, the type and extent of the procedure (extended breast lift vs. breast augmentation), and whether or not another procedure is being performed at the same time.
Every procedure is individualized to a patient’s needs, and our plastic and aesthetic surgeon will tailor his techniques based on patient's tissue, the amount of excess skin to be removed and her/his personal goals. Dr. Castillo will recommend the type procedure that will achieve optimal results with the least conspicuous scarring possible.
9. What will the recovery process like? What will my post operative instructions be?
After the operation, your real work begins — recovering from surgery. We recommend having a caregiver, usually a family member, who knows you and knows what to expect following the surgical procedure can be helpful. Arrange for your caregiver to be informed of your progress during and after surgery.
Patients who have a thorough understanding of their follow-up care are better able to manage post-surgical pain and prevent complications. Follow-up care requires work, and that means you and possibly your immediate family or caregivers may have to learn some new skills, such as changing bandages. Most importantly, you and your loved ones should know how to reach your surgeon’s office once you’re back home, in case you need additional clarification about discharge instructions. Stays in touch with your surgical team during the post operative recovery period, will reduce risks of have serious complications.
10. If any side effects or complications arise post surgery, how will they be handled?
At consultation, Dr. Castillo will inform you about the risks and possible side-effects of your particular procedure. He will explain which situations will be common and which ones are dangerous. It is important that you are conscious that someone is cutting through your skin and tinkering with your insides. After all, surgery is surgery and your body is going to react to that, just like it does when you accidentally cut or bump yourself. While you're recovering, carefully follow doctor's instructions for caring for your cut.
It is extremely important that you fully understand all possible risks and side-effects before undergoing surgery. Don't hesitate to come for a second consultation for more information. 11. What are my options if I am dissatisfied with the outcome of the treatment?
In My Best Body Ever we want the best results for our patients. It is difficult to get the exact final result that our patient expecto simply because of the variety of different issues each patient brings to the table. Revisions are infrequent in Dr. Castillo practice so we are happy to help make things as good as possible, provided the patient has realistic goals. But we always have the option of revisions in case the patient does not feel comfortable with the final results. It is very important that patients wait until full recovery has happened, this is in a period of 12 to 18 months after surgery.
